Flooding in Fayette County, Indiana

On August 13th, a historic flood hit my small town of Connersville and has destroyed many homes and businesses, displacing families and leaving quite the mess behind. Our community is resilient and hardworking and many volunteers have stepped up to help with flood recovery efforts. The United Cajun Navy came to help organize those volunteers, and the Fayette Community Foundation is collecting donations to support those efforts. Please consider donating here if you can!

I will be hosting a charity streamathon on my Twitch channel on Saturday, August 22nd from 11am-9pm to encourage folks to donate directly to that fundraiser.

During the stream, I’ll be drawing “silly doodle” requests for anyone who donates $5 or more and sends me proof of their donation (you can send me a screenshot via Discord, email, or facebook messenger). You can also send me a picture of your pet and I will doodle them hilariously badly. I’ll also have other interactive events, such as opportunities to challenge me on Magic The Gathering: Arena in exchange for donations to the fundraiser (my friend code is InsomniaDoodles#89433). I’ll be playing Slay The Spire 2 when I need to unwind (I might allow multiplayer requests), and I’ll put on Gartic Words on Stream for viewers to play during my breaks. Throughout the entire stream, I’ll have Stream Avatars running so viewers can play minigames and interact with one another while being represented on the screen by their favorite Pokémon or cute little animals!

PLEASE DO NOT GIVE ANY MONEY TO MY TWITCH CHANNEL. Do not subscribe (unless it’s your free twitch prime sub), instead, give the money directly to the fundraiser link.

I am close to my Twitch payout, so Prime subs and bits you already have are welcome, but please do not purchase any bits or subscriptions and just give the money directly to the charity. I have ads reduced as much as possible, but I can’t turn them off completely, so the ad revenue and prime subs might be enough to get me to my twitch payout goal (currently sitting at $38 / $50, so it’s close!). If I do reach the the payout threshold, all $50 is going to the flood relief fund.
